See the fabric requirements chart among the pictures.
YOU WILL NEED:
Knit fabric in medium to medium-heavy weight (approx. 200-340 gr/m2). Important: 30-40% stretch. More stretch than that can make the trousers too large (se size guide). I recommend ponte (also called ponte di roma, and courtelle jersey) which is a heavier knit fabric with steady stretch, perfect for trousers. But remember to double check the stretch since it varies among different ponte fabrics.
Other fabric types that are great if the stretch is 30-40% are french terry, sweatshirt and jersey (cotton, viscose etc). Use the recommended fabric for all pattern pieces, including the waistbands.
Elastic, for the regular waistband (not yoga waistband). See length and width in the requirements table (among the pictures).
Light-weight fusible interfacing, I recommend Vlieseline H609, to stabilize the front and back pockets, and the pocket openings of the slash pockets.
Optional, Framilon tape or other clear elastic, about 7 mm wide, to sew into the crotch seam for better durability.
Useful to have: Aqua glue marker, tape measure, fabric scissors, pins/clips, iron, and a sewing machine with coordinating thread, plus a suitable needle for the fabric. For knit fabrics it’s usually recommended to use stretch needles.
