The bomber jacket Billy & Betty is designed for medium to heavy weight knit fabrics, such as french terry or college. It’s perfect to wear over a t-shirt indoors, or as a light summer jacket.

All variants can be sewn with snap buttons or a zipper. You can also choose to sew it with a waistband or gathered peplum. With the waistband variant you can also add welt pockets or color blocking with or without pockets. The sleeves can also be color blocked if you choose to. And finally, for all versions you can also add shoulder flutter.

Sizes: 74-146 (approx. 6 month - 11 years)

Recommended fabric: Medium- to heavy weight knit fabrics such as french terry/college/sweatshirt with 10-40% stretch. A stretch guide is included in the pattern.

Level of difficulty: 2/3. (For confident beginners).

In the including tutorial you receive help from start to finish. It’s a solid and detailed description of each step in the making of this garment. It includes clear pictures, explanatory text and tips that will give the garment a professional look. If you are new to some of the techniques this will be an opportunity for you to develop your sewing skills. The tutorial also includes a size chart and a fabric requirements chart.
